Incubator Guide
Incubators are special structures in Grow a Garden that let you passively generate progress — either hatching eggs faster or levelling up pets — even when you are not actively playing. There are currently two incubators in the game, each targeting a different aspect of progression.
Why Incubators Matter
Eggs take real-world time to hatch and pets require thousands of XP to level up. Incubators compress that time significantly. A fully fuelled Egg Incubator can hatch eggs up to 10× faster than natural speed, while the Pet Incubator keeps accruing XP in the background so you log in to a stronger pet every session.
Key Differences at a Glance
The Egg Incubator is unlocked through in-game achievements (67 total), fuelled by crops, and can be boosted by external weather events. The Pet Incubator is unlocked through NPC friendship and generates XP offline without needing manual fuelling. Understanding both systems is essential for long-term progress.
