Coal is the primary fuel for crafting. There are four tiers, each unlocking more powerful recipes at higher-tier workbenches.
Common Coal
The most basic coal. Easy to obtain from the Furnace by submitting Common crops. Used for early-game recipes like Small Toy and Small Treat.
Rare Coal
Obtained by submitting Rare or Uncommon crops to the Furnace, or from a Smithing Dog. Unlocks mid-tier recipes like the Anti Bee Egg.
Legendary Coal
Requires Legendary crops in the Furnace. Used for advanced recipes like Lightning Rod and Reclaimer. Relatively rare — save it for high-value crafts.
Divine Coal
The rarest coal tier. Obtained from Divine/Mythical crop submissions or the Smithing Dog at high levels. Required for top-tier crafting like Pack Bee.
